About Us
LeafPrint Creations grew from a difficult chapter of my life — a time when everything felt uncertain and overwhelming. I found myself drawn to plants before I even understood why. At the time, I thought it was just another special interest, but it slowly became something that felt grounding and meaningful.
I started experimenting with hydroponics, building and testing DIY systems to see how I could make them more efficient. I began with vegetables, then got really into growing hot peppers, constantly tweaking and optimizing different designs. Each new plant species became a new challenge — figuring out what it needed to thrive in a hydroponic setup and how to create that environment. Over time, I expanded into other plants, including tropicals, and I’ve now grown quite a few species, including a pineapple plant that I’ve been nurturing for over two years.
It was through the hydroponics community that I first heard about plant tissue culture. I learned about how it works, and about the kinds of plants people use it for, and it immediately grabbed my attention. From there, I decided to pursue it myself, combining what I’d already learned about propagation and system design with the new techniques and possibilities of tissue culture.
Today, LeafPrint Creations is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and focuses on sustainably propagating rare and beautiful houseplants — from classic Pothos varieties to exotic Philodendrons and Monsteras. Each plant is grown by hand, with care and attention to detail.
For me, learning about plants and the natural world has led to real personal growth, and I hope that you’ll choose to grow with me.
